This is a lovely coffee shop in a fancy building making the perfect spot to spend a few hours working or reading. The prices were reasonable and while I didn't love the seating in the coffee shop the rest of the lobby had PLENTY of seating, from comfy couches and cute tables in front of windows you can people watch from. I spent a solid 3 hours here the other day and it was wonderful to see a different side of Houston here. The cafe can be a little hard to find if you don't know it's in the building.
The coffee was good and the to-go sandwiches I got were tasty as well. A quick place to stop in when downtown for work or play! It is a cute little area as part of the larger building.
Texas and honey latte is great . Not too sweet. Heresy latte art too. Good atmosphere. I'm out of word don't wanna say more. Can I post now?
Super cool atmosphere! It was difficult to find but the coffee was smooth. Just a large building where it's located on first floor !
Small quiet coffee shop tucked into the corner of one of the office buildings. Easiest entrance is at fannin and capitol corner. Prices are normal, maybe a bit low for the area, and coffee was good and fast. Plenty of seating at noon, unsure how it fares with the morning rush. Good for a quiet afternoon cup though!
One of the better drip coffees downtown! But they close at 3 pm! I visited Prelude to catch up with a friend. I unfortunately did not check the timing, and by the time I made it to the counter, they had begun to shut down the espresso machine. I had only planned to get drip anyway, which they provided. Service was efficient, but not particularly friendly. Oh well. I'll take a lot of attitude for a decent cup of coffee! The drip coffee is good, and on par with the likes of Amille's, Honeymoon, Inversion, Siphon, etc. The space is really cool. Not only can you sit in the actual shop, but it is open to the humongous lobby of the newest building in downtown. There are some lovely modern couches that are begging to be sat in after your coffee is ordered. Generally, 3 pm is when I need my last little bump of caffeine, so I had to take a star away for that.
